AMERICAN UNIVERSITY’S WASHINGTON COLLEGE OF LAW
The WCL Chapter of the NLG saw a successful year with a number of events including sending three members as legal observers to Miami for the FTAA, coordinating a campaign for water filters for the drinking fountains in the midst of DC’s water crisis and held a number of fi lm screenings. The WCL chapter also started a Street Law program under the NLG, which has since become an independent student group teaching a class at Friendship Edison High School in DC. We continue to have 160 people on the school listserve. This fall, the WCL chapter will host a legal observer training and hold fi lm screenings focusing on animal and human rights.
